NEEDLE AND MICRO-NEEDLE TREATMENT

Mesotherapy is a procedure involving puncturing a specific area of the skin in order to administer subcutaneously active compounds. Preparations administered subcutaneously during the procedure are matched individually to the needs of the skin. A mesotherapy procedure is very versatile: it can be performed on the face, scalp, and such areas of the body as hands, neck and cleavage, abdomen, arms, thighs.
A mesotherapy procedure is performed in order to revitalise, rejuvenate and beautify the selected body area. The very process of puncturing the skin produces beneficial effects by stimulating regenerative processes. By stimulating synthesis of collagen fibres and activating formation of new blood vessels, the skin becomes denser and more firm. A type of preparation injected has huge impact on improving the skin condition. It smooths facial wrinkles, firms the skin, reduces shadows and bags under the eyes. It can reduce visibility of hyperpigmentation and unify of skin tone, as well as reduce acne scars. Mesotherapy of scalp inhibits excessive hair loss. Procedures performed on the body produce the effect of skin rejuvenation and firming, reducing scars and stretch marks.

MICRO-NEEDLE TREATMENT

Micro-needle treatment consists in intensive puncturing of the skin with the use of thin, short needles, from 0.2 mm to 2.5 mm long. Such puncturing of the skin can be performed with a special device. It is primarily aimed at stimulating the repair processes. As a result of puncturing the skin to a certain depth, it is possible to stimulate synthesis of collagen fibres, improve blood microcirculation, and release growth factors from platelets. A skin puncturing procedure can be combined with the application of appropriate nutritional cocktails to the skin. The procedure can be performed on the skin of the face, neck and cleavage, hands or other areas of the body. Micro-needle treatment results primarily in improved skin texture, which may translate into reduction in visibility of pores, shallowing of fine wrinkles and scars, firming the skin and its rejuvenation. Performing a series of procedures can improve skin quality in areas that are particularly prone to losing firmness, such as the abdomen, buttocks, thighs or arms. The procedure improves skin quality, helps fight stretch marks, and restores elasticity to flaccid skin.
A series of several procedures, preferably 4-6, should be performed every 2-4 weeks. The final effect of micro-needle treatment is visible after about two months, when the skin is regenerated and its structure improved.

PROCEDURE

During the consultation, we discuss the expected effect and chose the best preparation for the Patient. Before the treatment an anaesthetic ointment is applied, which significantly reduces pain sensations – the injections feel similar to mosquito bites. During the procedure, a selected preparation is administered in a form adjusted to the technique.

EFFECT

The effect of mesotherapy is nourished, radiant skin with better condition. After a series of procedures fine wrinkles become shallower, hyperpigmentation disappears and the oval of the face becomes tighter. Mesotherapy is also excellent anti-aging prevention.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE?

The procedure does not require much preparation.

Do not consume alcohol, caffeine or drugs 24 hours before the procedure.

One week before the procedure, do not take common painkillers, as they thin the blood and may cause more bruising after insertions. Garlic and onion have a similar effect.

If you take NSAIDs, talk to your GP and ask if you can discontinue them two weeks before your procedure. If your GP refuses, don’t discontinue your medication on your own! The procedure can still be performed, but you must expect more bruising.

Two weeks before the procedure, you can start taking vitamin C, which will strengthen capillary walls and thus reduce formation of bruises.

RECOVERY

Minor redness, which develops at the site of the injections, usually disappears within 24 hours. In the case of some preparations, delicate bubbles may appear under the skin; they disappear within 2-3 days. The course of healing is usually mild and does not require leave.
