Intimate parts, such as the labia, anus or scrotum can be lightened using a laser. Usually a fraxel CO2 laser or neodymium-yag Q-Switched laser is used. The effect of the procedure is not only the whitening of the labia, but also the rejuvenation of the intimate parts, their firmness and rejuvenation
Whitening of the genitals with the use of a laser consists in subjecting the intimate parts to a laser beam. Light emitted by the laser is absorbed by the skin pigment – melanin. A photothermal phenomenon is generated – a pigment is heated and disintegrates, after which it is removed from the body. Moreover, the laser causes skin firming. Prior to the procedure, a consultation with a physician is required; it is also necessary to remove hair from the skin subjected to laser procedure. The procedure consists in holding the head towards the treated skin and sending light impulses. The procedure takes several minutes and is painless thanks to the use of a strong anaesthetic cream. The effect is visible already after the first procedure, if necessary the procedure may be repeated 3-4 times.
The main effect of the laser which is used to treat the intimate parts is lightening of the skin. It is worth emphasising that darker colouring of the skin in the perineum and anus area is natural, and such colouring of the skin may increase with age. Skin darkening may also be caused by hormonal changes, some diseases; moreover, individual genetic predisposition is not without significance. However, for many people the issue is embarrassing – hence the decision to perform a laser procedure to lighten the intimate parts. Treating the skin with a laser allows for restoring an even skin tone and for lightening darker skin tones. In addition to the brightening, the skin becomes firmer and smoother – this is a consequence of the photothermal reaction and stimulation of collagen fibre synthesis. Ultimately, thanks to the use of laser, the intimate parts are comprehensively revitalised, rejuvenated and firmed. An additional benefit is an increase in self-confidence and getting rid of complexes, which may translate into an improved quality of sexual life.
How long the whitening effects last is an individual matter. Some people may experience darkening of the intimate parts again, which may be a consequence of melanin overproduction, for example in response to hormonal disorders or the use of certain medications. In that case, the series of procedures should be performed. This does not change the fact that laser labia and anal bleaching is considered the most effective procedure of its type. Other alternatives, such as the use of brightening creams do not produce spectacular results and additionally require constant application. We also discourage lightening the intimate parts, using home methods. Such method incurs a risk of irritation of delicate intimate parts, and the effects are negligible. When using laser, on the other hand, skin irritation is slight and disappears spontaneously within a few days after the procedure.

The laser produces a whitening effect in the intimate parts: anus, scrotum or labia majora. The skin is noticeably lighter, with an even colour. Laser treatment of intimate regions allows not only for their brightening but also for rejuvenation. Even colour together with skin smoothing and firming make intimate parts look much younger. The effects are noticeable immediately after the procedure. Sometimes the procedure needs to be repeated two or three times – it all depends on the initial condition of the skin and the expected results.
Immediately after the procedure, the skin is red and irritated and the healing process takes about a week. During this time, skin irritation, hot baths, sauna or swimming pool should be avoided. The Patient should also refrain from intercourse.
The procedure does not require much preparation.
Do not consume alcohol, caffeine or drugs 24 hours before the procedure.
Before the procedure, intimate parts should be depilated.
After the procedure you may experience redness, irritation and slight swelling. These symptoms disappear within a week and then sexual intercourse may be resumed.
There are not many contraindications to botox, but they must be taken into consideration. Below you will find the most important of them.
Diabetes.
In case of advanced diabetes wound healing is impaired. However, when treated and controlled, diabetes is not a problem. If you have diabetes, please ask your attending physician for a written consent for the aesthetic medicine procedure and present it to us on the day of the procedure.
Active cancer.
Cancer that occurred less than 5 years prior to the procedure.
Chemo- and radiotherapy
Autoimmune diseases apart from thyroid disease, acquired vitiligo, and alopecia areata. For example, such diseases include psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, myasthenia gravis, multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, sarcoidosis, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis.
Steroids, except asthma medications and inhaled steroids, taken less than one month prior to the scheduled procedure.
Fungal medications or antibiotics taken less than one week prior to the procedure.
Epilepsy.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding. We do not perform procedures in pregnant ladies or nursing mothers, even with the physician’s consent. When it comes to children, one can’t be too careful!
Skin diseases in the planned treatment site.
Fever, viral or bacterial infection on the day of the procedure.
